Sophomore Alexis Olgard finished with nine kills, five blocks and two aces Wednesday as Mead (9-0) clinched at least a tie for its fifth consecutive Greater Spokane League title with a 3-0 sweep at University.
Lindsey Petroni added 15 digs and Karyn Mockel 24 assists for the Panthers, who are one game ahead of Shadle Park heading into tonight’s season finale with visiting North Central. Eileen Chatfield had six kills and three blocks for U-Hi (5-4).
Tonight’s other matches are East Valley at University, Gonzaga Prep at Rogers and Mt. Spokane vs. Shadle Park at Spokane Falls Community College. Central Valley hosts Ferris on Friday.

Megan Lindsey scored 4 minutes into overtime as G-Prep (10-1-1, 8-1) remained tied for first place in the GSL with a 1-0 win at CV (9-4, 5-4). Sarah Manix has five saves for the Bullpups, who notched their sixth consecutive league win, the last four by shutout. … Also in the league, Jaimey Etten and Marissa Mykines had one goal and one assist apiece as Mead (12-1, 8-1) kept pace with G-Prep with a 4-0 win at Ferris (3-8-1, 3-6). … Third-place Mt. Spokane (7-3, 7-2) rolled to a 7-0 win over visiting Rogers (0-11, 0-10). Averi Hallman scored the first goal and assisted on the third. … Colby Smits made a key save at 73 minutes and Lewis and Clark (11-4, 6-3) won the shootout 4-2 to post a 1-0 win at Shadle (7-4, 6-3). … Danielle LeGore and Jacie White scored in the first 11 minutes and host EV (5-6, 4-5) held on for a 2-1 win over U-Hi (4-9-1, 2-7). … The regular season ends today. District 8 4A play begins Monday.
