Secret Witness rewards offered in unsolved robberies
Local law enforcement agencies, eager for information to help solve some cooling cases, are putting out the call for tips in two cases.
Secret Witness has renewed its $1,000 rewards for information that leads to solving the crimes.
They include a series of pizza delivery robberies and the beating and robbery of a Spokane Valley apartment manager.
In the pizza delivery robbery case, several drivers were robbed in Spokane between Sept. 11 and Sept. 17.
The first robbery occurred at about 9 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 2500 block of North Calispel. The second and third happened on Sept. 14 and Sept. 15 – one at about 10:15 p.m. at Boone Avenue and Crestline Street and the other a little after midnight at Elm Street and 10th Avenue. The latest occurred at 11 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 1400 block of North Atlantic Street.
The suspects called phony orders in to different pizza restaurants to lure the drivers out. In three of the cases the robber wore a mask during the robberies. In one case he had two accomplices with him.
The other Secret Witness case involves the July 3 robbery of an apartment manager at 10101 E. Main Ave. in Spokane Valley.
Two men burst into the manager’s room and demanded several thousand dollars in rent money. They punched the manager in the face and threatened to shoot him.
The two men also stole the manager’s passport and birth certificate.
They were wearing masks and gloves, were about 6 feet tall and weighed about 190 pounds each.
Anyone with information about any of these suspects or crimes is asked to call (509) 327-5111 to claim the $1,000 cash reward. Callers can claim the reward without leaving their name.
