Hit-and-run injures man on Highway 95

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

Idaho State Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision on U.S. Highway 95 that left one man with minor injuries Tuesday afternoon.

Jerry Underwood, 65, of Cocolalla, was traveling on Highway 95 in Hayden about 1:38 p.m. when an SUV westbound on Miles Avenue failed to yield at the intersection and struck Underwood’s 2002 Subaru Legacy.

The vehicle, described as a dark blue or black Dodge Durango, fled the crash scene westbound on Miles Avenue, according to ISP reports.

State police are seeking information on the SUV. Dark green paint from the Subaru was likely transferred to the SUV, and the vehicle lost its headlight cover and received damage to its front end.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at (208) 772-6055.
