In brief: Winter clothing donations needed

The Spokesman-Review

It’s time to check through your “gently used” winter clothing for items you might consider donating to the Spokane Homeless Resource Center for its seventh annual Winter Wear Drive.

The center is in need of laundered hats, coats, gloves and white socks, plus cold-weather boots. The center assists as many as 130 individuals each winter.

Drop-off donations on Nov. 12 between noon and 4 p.m., at the Homeless Resource Center, 520 S. Walnut St. The winter clothing will be distributed on Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more information, call Spokane Mental Health at 838-4651 and ask for the Homeless Outreach Team.
