Oceana Bush totaled 19 kills, 19 digs and two aces as third-seeded Lewis and Clark edged second-seeded Shadle Park 25-17, 25-19, 20-25, 25-27, 15-7 in District 8 4A play at Spokane Falls Community College. LC will play Mead at 5 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Spokane for the district title and top two regional seeds.
Elsewhere, Alexis Olgard, Meg Ryan and Beth Altena combined for 24 kills as Mead swept visiting University 3-0. U-Hi will play Shadle at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Spokane for the third seed to regional.
“Sarah Gloyn had a season-high nine kills and Alyssa Bodeau added a season-high seven aces as Almira/Coulee-Hartline defeated Columbia 3-0 in a District 7 1B play-in game at Davenport. The Warriors will meet Inchelium on Saturday at Northwest Christian.

The Wildcats (9-3-1) advanced to the semifinals and will host Southridge (13-3) at 1 p.m. Saturday for a state berth. … Elsewhere, Haley Curtis had three goals and two assists while leading West Valley-Yakima (17-0) to an 8-0 win over visiting North Central (1-12). The Rams will host Kamiakin (12-5) in the semifinals. … At Kennewick, Whitney Brannan had one goal and one assist as host Kamiakin posted a 2-0 win that eliminated East Valley (5-8).
“Kasey Rubosky and Katie Baran scored two goals apiece to guide host Lakeside (10-7) to a 6-0 win over Cascade-Leavenworth (8-9) in 1A regional play at Nine Mile Falls. The Eagles will play at Brewster on Saturday for a state berth.
