Boston College 37, N.C. State 17: At Boston, the Eagles (2-0) ruined Tom O’Brien’s return to the school he coached for 10 seasons by forcing seven turnovers in a romp over the Wolfpack (0-2).

Army 14, Rhode Island 7 (OT): At West Point, N.Y., Carson Williams threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Justin Larson in overtime to give the Black Knights (1-1) a victory over the Rams (0-2), a team from the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly Division I-AA.

Buffalo 42, Temple 7: At Philadelphia, Drew Willy completed 20 of 22 passes for 190 yards and two TDs and the Bulls (1-1, 1-0 MAC) routed the Owls (0-2, 0-1).

Pittsburgh 34, Grambling State 10: At Pittsburgh, LeSean McCoy ran for three TDs in the first quarter and the Panthers (2-0) rolled past the Tigers (1-1, FCS).

Michigan State 28, Bowling Green 17: At East Lansing, Mich., Brian Hoyer had a pair of TD passes to lead the Spartans (2-0) to a win over the Falcons (1-1).

Purdue 52, Eastern Illinois 6: At West Lafayette, Ind., Curtis Painter tied a school record with six TD passes and the Boilermakers (2-0) romped past the Panthers (1-1, FCS).

Ball State 38, Eastern Michigan 16: At Ypsilanti, Mich., Nate Davis threw three first-half TD passes and the Cardinals (1-1, 1-1 MAC) beat the Eagles (0-2, 0-1).
