Equines day in October

West Plains Community Fair will hold an equines day Oct. 6 at Valley Mission Park Arena. This Long Ear Short Ear Equine Playday is open to all equines including horses, mules and donkeys.

Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to each age group; classes are barrels, team barrels, heart race, figure 8, flags, key pole, pole bending, musical sacks, boot race and ride-a-buck.

Entry fee is $4 per class or $30 all day. Registration is from 8 to 8:45 a.m., and the show starts at 9 a.m. For more information, call MaryAnn Swift at 990-6846.
