Fires cause grief

The Spokesman-Review

Summer fires are causing grief for hunters in portions of Idaho and Washington

“Central Idaho backcountry still has some access closures because of still-burning fires in areas including units 20, 26 and 27.

Seasons in these areas are being extended because of the fires.

“ Two fires on the Asotin Creek Wildlife Area have spoiled hunting for this season on about 5,000 acres in the canyon lands west of Meyers Ridge, including George Creek and Stringtown Creek.
