A Ross’ goose is featured on Washington’s 2007-2008 migratory bird stamp painting by Robert Steiner. Sportsmen and other conservationists can purchase the stamps or artwork through the Washington Fish and Wildlife Department, with proceeds going to state waterfowl habitat projects. The Ross’ goose is a smaller version of the lesser snow goose that passes through Washington in limited numbers, primarily on the west side of the state. Illustration courtesy of Robert Steiner
