Lutheran churches offer Akaloo
Seven Lutheran churches in the Valley are teaming up to offer a new Christian education option for families every Wednesday night.
The program, called Akaloo, includes education classes for adults and children, age 3 and up, dinner and worship. Youth programs include everything from singing to crafts to basketball. Adults may also choose alternative activities rather than education classes. Child care is offered for children under 3.
The program begins this week and will be offered each Wednesday from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at North Pines Middle School, 701 N. Pines Road. The annual membership is $10 per person or $30 per family, which includes materials and a T-shirt for kids. People interested in checking out the program may attend two sessions at no cost.
The sponsoring churches include Bethlehem Lutheran, Christ Lutheran, Good Shepherd Lutheran, Holy Trinity Lutheran, Peace Lutheran, Zion Lutheran and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Churches. Call 252-0347 or visit www.akaloospokane.org for more information.
