Best fares: Hotels tempt travelers with free night offers

Tom Parsons The Dallas Morning News

Hotels are luring travelers during the slow fall season with free-night promotions. Some offers are for consecutive-night stays, while others are for future accommodations.

“Members of the Choice Privileges program will earn enough points for a free night after two separate paid stays this fall. The offer is valid with qualifying stays in the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, Ireland or Mexico through Nov. 30.

Hotel brands include Cambria Suites, Clarion, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, MainStay Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn and Suburban Extended Stay hotels. Travelers will earn a total of 8,000 points with this offer, which is enough for a free night at more than 1,000 locations.

Guests who stay at sister properties Econo Lodge or Rodeway Inn will earn double stamps for stays through Nov. 30. Guests will earn enough stamps for a $50 room credit after they stay four nights, a $25 room credit after three nights or a $10 room credit after two nights.
