Utes manhandle No. 11 Bruins
Tommy Grady threw for three touchdowns, Darrell Mack ran for 107 yards and Utah capitalized on a long list of mistakes by No. 11 UCLA in a 44-6 upset of the Bruins on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
Robert Johnson made two interceptions and forced a fumble at the 2-yard line, making what could have been a touchdown into one of five turnovers by the Bruins (2-1).
UCLA committed 10 penalties and unraveled in the second half as Utah (1-2) scored 30 straight points and beat the Bruins for the first time. Utah had been 0-8 against UCLA, which failed to score a touchdown for the first time in four years.
UCLA’s Ben Olson completed 20 of 40 passes for 290 yards and was intercepted three times.

Dennis Dixon threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, Jonathan Stewart ran for 165 yards and the Ducks (3-0) defeated the Bulldogs (1-2) in Eugene, Ore.
Stewart scored two touchdowns, including an 88-yard dash to the end zone, and the Ducks outrushed the Bulldogs 307-60.
The win was Mike Bellotti’s 100th as coach at Oregon.

Lavelle Hawkins returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, and Justin Forsett ran for 152 yards and three scores as the Bears (3-0) rolled over the Bulldogs (1-2) in Berkeley, Calif.
Craig Stevens and Jahvid Best caught TD passes from Nate Longshore, who passed for 230 yards as Cal finished its non-conference schedule with its ninth straight win at home.
OSU 61, Idaho St. 10
Sean Canfield threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns, Sammie Stroughter had 160 yards receiving and two TDs, and the Beavers cruised past the Bengals (1-1), a Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) team, at Corvallis, Ore.
Canfield might have cemented his status as the Beavers’ starter, completing 21 of 30 passes before making way for Lyle Moevao in the third quarter.
Stanford 37, SJSU 0
Toby Gerhart ran for 140 yards and a TD to lead the Cardinal (1-1) over the Spartans (0-3) for their first win in seven tries in their newly renovated stadium in Stanford, Calif.
It was Stanford’s first shutout in more than a decade.
The Cardinal topped 500 yards for the first time in five years and scored four more points than they did in five home games combined last year.
UNM 29, Arizona 27
Donovan Porterie threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns and the Lobos (1-2) beat a Pac-10 team for the second time in school history, edging the Wildcats (1-2) in Tucson, Ariz.
Marcus Smith had 11 catches for 164 yards and a TD for the Lobos.
