How do I … move my Internet Explorer Favorites (bookmarks) to another computer?

Go to File and then click Import/Export, which opens the Import/Export Wizard. Click Next.

Choose Export Favorites. Click Next. (As you noticed, you could export cookies and RSS feeds as well.)

The Wizard will highlight your Favorites folder. Click Next. That gives you a window for choosing a destination to save the folder of favorites. Most times, you can choose a floppy drive or a flash (USB) drive.

Then you take the floppy or the USB drive and go through the companion steps on the second computer. Open Internet Explorer. Choose File and Import/Export. Then in the wizard window, choose Import Favorites. Select the folder off the USB drive or floppy. Click Next. The wizard will import the favorites into the browser.
