Fairfield City Council – Council members discussed a grant for pedestrian bridges and sidewalk projects. They voted to close out a rural development grant by using $7,000 to purchase a four-wheeler with a spray attachment to be used for weed control at the sewer ponds. A yard waste disposal day will tentatively be held on April 19; the location has not been finalized. The town is partnering with Rockford and Waverly to hire a chipping contractor for the disposal. Rockford City Council – A representative from the American Bloodhound Club spoke about an event planned in Rockford May 23-24. A rate study will be done. The council also discussed having a yard waste disposal day. (Source: Town clerk)
