Few good for Gonzaga

Just a couple of questions for basketball expert Hal Campbell (Letters, March 30).

Have you played Division I basketball? Have you coached Division I basketball as a head coach or otherwise? How many West Coast Conference championships have you won? How many trips to the NCAA tournament have you made?

I would guess the answer to these is none. While I don’t always agree with the decisions of a player (specifically Austin Daye), I try to remember that he is a freshman and will only improve. As far as coach (Mark) Few is concerned, I believe he is the best thing that has happened to Gonzaga basketball.

Let’s just hope comments by people like you don’t drive him out of here.
