In brief: Tuesday deadline to choice into CV schols

Students living in the Central Valley School District who want to “choice” into a CV school outside their residential attendance area have until Tuesday to submit a written request.

An Application for Student Transfer form should be submitted to the principal of the school the student wishes to attend. A lottery will be conducted within five school days of the deadline to select students for available slots. Letters will be sent to students with the results.

Non-resident students living outside the Central Valley district have until May 1 to submit a written request. Selections will be made with the lottery process.

Several schools are closed to “choice” transfers because of high enrollment. They are: Broadway Elementary, Greenacres Elementary, Liberty Lake Elementary, Sunrise Elementary, Opportunity Elementary, University Elementary, Bowdish Middle School, Evergreen Middle School, Greenacres Middle School, Central Valley High School and University High School.

The high schools may consider transfer requests from students living in the district.
