Thanks for keeping memories alive

Kudos to Dave and Doug Ross for keeping a legacy alive in McKinley School (July 24, North Voice).

My oldest sister, myself and two younger brothers attended McKinley back in the ’50s and up until the school closed its doors in 1962. We have many wonderful memories of that old building. Whenever my sister and I would drive by McKinley, we had always hoped that someone would preserve its beautiful building. I hope the Spokane community will step up to the plate and utilize this wonderful piece of history in using McKinley for something that will help us all grow and be proud of.

I am proud that I was able to attend this wonderful school and that it played an important role in my school years. Thank you, Dave and Doug Ross and mostly your father, Dale, for keeping the spirit of McKinley alive in those of us who had the privilege of going there.
