Suspects sought in Spokane Zip Trip robbery

Meghann M. Cuniff Staff writer

Spokane police are looking for two suspects from a nearly three-month-old robbery, one of whom was the target of a Crime Stoppers reward for a different crime less than three weeks after the robbery.

Tyson L. Brown, 24, and Jarrel L. Edwards, 23, are wanted on suspicion of first-degree robbery and second-degree assault in connection with a robbery at the Zip Trip at Third Avenue and Altamont Street on May 18, according to police. After the pair grabbed packs of beer, one of the men hit a store employee in the head with one of the packs before fleeing, according to police.

Brown made headlines in June when he was shot in the stomach during a confrontation at his East Marshall Avenue residence. He was treated at a local hospital and released just hours after Crime Stoppers offered a reward for information leading to his capture in connection with a harassment charge.

Anyone with information on the location of Edwards or Brown is asked to call 911.
