Perkins allowed four hits and three walks while striking out four. Former Twin Sidney Ponson gave up four runs and seven hits in 72/3 innings
Blue Jays 7, Tigers 2: At Detroit, Justin Verlander struggled as Toronto roughed him up in a win over the Tigers. Rod Barajas had a homer and three RBIs for the Blue Jays. Verlander lasted just 41/3 innings, giving up six runs and seven hits.
Indians 13, Orioles 8: At Cleveland, Asdrubal Cabrera homered, and then doubled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning as the Indians beat Baltimore.
