Highway 41 closure planned

Idaho Highway 41 will be closed at Hayden Avenue Wednesday and Thursday for railroad repairs.

The closure will begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday and last until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Motorists will not be able to get through the intersection, so those needing to travel between points north and south of Hayden Avenue will have to use an alternate route, such as U.S. Highway 95.

Naples

Naples Gallery to host Art Faire

Art Faire will be held at Naples Gallery, U.S. Highway 95 at mile 495 ½, on Friday from noon to 7 p.m., and next Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The event will include live music and other performances. Painters, craft artists and photographers will present their work and demonstrate their techniques.

In addition to live entertainment, food and visual artists’ exhibits, the family-friendly event will include a hands-on children’s clay table where kids ages 8 to 14 can create something for a minimal fee. Artists will also offer free face painting for kids.

Drawings will also be held for free merchandise.

Skating camps at Kyro Ice Arena

Kyro Ice Arena, 3519 W. Seltice Way in Coeur d’Alene, is enrolling interested individuals for indoor ice skating and hockey camps that will run Monday through Friday.

CYT class registration under way

The Christian Youth Theater of North Idaho is registering students for fall theater arts classes.

The classes will begin on Sept. 9 and will meet every Tuesday for 10 weeks at the Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., in Coeur d’Alene. Children ages 6-18 are welcome.

Classes offered will include: beginning drama, beginning voice, beginning dance, improv and film making mania.

All students will perform in Showcase on Nov. 11. Students ages of 8-18 enrolled in the fall session are eligible to audition for CYT-North Idaho’s fall production of “Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” The show calls for a large cast and no prior experience is needed, so all participants are encouraged to audition.
