Golf scramble honors NIC coach

North Idaho College will host the second annual Rolly Williams Golf Classic tournament Sept. 5, honoring longtime basketball coach Rolly Williams.

Williams served as the head men’s basketball coach from 1961 to 1996. He was inducted into the Idaho Hall of Fame in 1988 and into the NJCAA Hall of Fame in 1993.

The 18 hole, four-person scramble will begin at noon with lunch at Prairie Falls Golf Club, 3200 N. Spokane St. in Post Falls, and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Cost is $75 per person or $300 for teams of four. To register, call the NIC Athletics Department at (208) 769-3348.
