Santa to visit Fire District 8

Spokane County Fire District 8 is bringing Santa Claus to town to visit the good girls and boys and their families to the South Hill on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Santa and the firefighters also also will be collecting nonperishable and canned food donations for the Food Bank.

•On Monday, Santa and crew will visit the area west of the Palouse Highway to Regal Street, south of 57th Avenue to 65th Avenue.

•Tuesday he will travel west of Regal to Helena Street, south of 57th.

•St. Nick and the firefighters will be traveling through Hangman Valley, Trickle Creek, and Browne Mountain on Wednesday.

Each day, Santa and the crew from Fire District 8 will begin their visit at 5:30 p.m. and head back to the sleigh at 8 p.m.

Art center offers kids holiday camps

Corbin Art Center, located in the Daniel House, 507 W. Seventh Ave., is offering a number of camps during the holiday season for children ages 3 to 11.

Old English fare will be served

Enjoy an Old English Feast in the Henderson Room at the Corbin Senior Activity Center, at 827 W. Cleveland Ave., on Dec. 19 at noon.

The holiday tradition will include Beef Wellington on the menu.

Bring a can of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
