A magical journey

On-the-water light show a delight for the eyes

Staff reports

The World’s Tallest Living Christmas Tree and its 30,000 sparkling lights are only a small part of the holiday magic at The Coeur d’Alene Resorts’ “Journey to the North Pole.”

The resort’s Holiday Light Show is the largest on-the-water resort holiday light show in the United States.

More than 1.5 million lights sparkle across Lake Coeur d’Alene as the Holiday Light Show, the largest on-the-water resort holiday light show in America, comes to life each evening during the holiday season.

Highlighting the show is the tree. At 161 feet, it is more than twice the height of New York City’s famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.

Departures on the resort’s “Journey to the North Pole” boat cruises are scheduled several times each evening through Jan. 3. Cruise ships depart at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

All cruises depart from the Boardwalk Marina, on the east side of the resort. Reservations are required. For tickets or more information, contact the Holiday Light Show Center at (208) 664-7268.
