The National Weather Service is forecasting more snow today with temperatures approaching freezing by 11 a.m. then dropping to the low 20s in Spokane.
Accumulation of an inch or 2 is possible. Coeur d’Alene can expect to see much of the same.
Travel throughout the region will remain hazardous today.
Friday night could bring significant snowfall, according to meteorologist Matt Fugazzi, with 7 inches possible in Spokane and 10 in Coeur d’Alene. “That could be a significant snow producer,” Fugazzi said.
Temperatures will be around 20 degrees.
The weekend is looking messy, with warming temperatures bringing a mix of rain and snow Saturday and Sunday, according to the weather service. Expect highs in the low to mid 30s.
