Traffic moving right along

A semi truck is stuck trying to get up Ray Street at 29th Avenue this morning in Spokane. Authorities have sanders on the way, working to get the truck going. Earlier this morning a semi was stuck under the Stevens overpass in downtown. It managed to get unstuck, then broke down in front of the Inter Modal Center. It partially blocked traffic and is being towed out of the way. The Spokane Police Department reports that traffic is lighter than usual but expected to heat up as soon as malls and business open. Many residential streets were cleared over night, but they are slick. Motorists are advised to slow down and keep a good distance to other vehicles ahead of them. The Idaho State Patrol reports winter driving conditions on compact snow and ice, but no major accidents during morning rush hour.
