Jargon 2.0

The Spokesman-Review

Im in ur … (insult).

This is an online declaration, usually delivered by chat or by e-mail, telling someone they’ve been beaten or outmaneuvered in some game or contest. It’s considered a nonthreatening boast.

It’s akin to someone saying: “You’re lame and you don’t even know how I did it.” As an example, Wikipedia’s entry on Lolcats (pictures of cats with text added, supposedly showing the cat’s thoughts) has this statement featured in one photo: “im in ur Wikipedia …. editing ur articles.”
