Five injuries reported after ferry hits mooring
BREMERTON – The Coast Guard says a Washington state ferry has struck its mooring dock at Bremerton, causing five minor injuries.
The agency says the 143-foot ferry Snohomish suffered no significant damage in the crash at 5 p.m. Monday.
The Coast guard says Washington State Ferries is conducting drug and alcohol testing on the ferry crew.
A state ferries spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for additional details.
The Coast Guard and the ferry system are investigating.
