Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

BREMERTON – The Coast Guard says a Washington state ferry has struck its mooring dock at Bremerton, causing five minor injuries.

The agency says the 143-foot ferry Snohomish suffered no significant damage in the crash at 5 p.m. Monday.

The Coast guard says Washington State Ferries is conducting drug and alcohol testing on the ferry crew.

A state ferries spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for additional details.

The Coast Guard and the ferry system are investigating.
