Mike Naccarato scored 15 points, including 2 of 3 free throws down the stretch, to help the fourth-seeded Chewelah Cougars to a 51-46 upset victory over the top-seeded Colfax Bulldogs in District 7 1A boys playoff action at Mead High School on Wednesday.

Forest Trampush added 12 points and seven rebounds for Chewelah (8-14), which moves on to play Lakeside on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Mead for the district title and No. 1 seed to regionals.

The second-seeded Lakeside Eagles advanced to the title game with a 60-43 win over the No. 3 Freeman Scotties at Mead. Leif Parcell scored 17 points and had five steals for the Eagles (11-10).

Marc Soelberg paced Freeman (13-9) with 16 points. The Scotties will play Colfax in a loser-out game at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mead.

Garrett Blauert scored a game-high 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor and Jake Fleming chipped in 10 points to lead the LaCrosse-Washtucna Tigercats to a 64-31 loser-out win over the Prescott Tigers in District 9 1B playoff action at Colfax High. L-W (14-10) will play the loser of Garfield-Palouse versus Liberty Christian at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Walla Walla Community College in a winner-to-state game. … In the other district game at Colfax, Casey Cook and Kelly Cook each scored 20 to send the Tekoa-Oakesdale Nighthawks (15-8) to a 62-45 win over the Touchet Indians (10-12). Both teams will play winner-to-state games on Friday.

Jordan Lupfer-Graham scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half to lead the West Valley Eagles (12-6, 8-4) to a 68-56 win over the Cheney Blackhawks (13-5, 8-4) in Great Northern League play in Cheney. … Elsewhere in the GNL, Jaron Hodge came off the bench to score 16 and grab seven rebounds to propel the Pullman Greyhounds (16-2, 11-1) to a 65-51 win over the visiting Deer Park Stags (9-10, 4-9). Corey Meyers tossed in a game-high 24 points for the Stags.

Carley Heinen totaled 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals and MacKenzie Taylor added 11 points and 12 rebounds to carry the top-seeded Freeman Scotties (20-1) to a 51-35 victory over the fourth-seeded Kettle Falls Bulldogs (9-11) in District 7 1A playoff action at Mead High. Freeman will play Colfax for the district title at 8 p.m. Friday at Mead. … In the other district game at Mead, Megan Teade had 16 points and six steals and Sadie Lazzarini added 14 points and seven steals to spark the second-seeded Colfax Bulldogs (17-4) to a 59-32 win over the third-seeded Lakeside Eagles (12-10).

•Elisha Lopez tossed in a game-high 13 points to lead the Garfield-Palouse Vikings (18-4) to a loser-out win over the Prescott Tigers (5-16) at the District 9 1B playoffs at Colfax High. … In the other loser-out game at Colfax, Megan Howerton scored 16 to propel the Touchet Indians (19-3) to a 48-23 win over Tri-Cities Prep.

•Kirsi Voshell scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in just 14 minutes of play to lead the Pullman Greyhounds (17-1, 12-0) to a 64-22 rout of the visiting Deer Park Stags (1-18, 0-12) in Great Northern League play. Deer Park’s Dominique Swenson led all scorers with 12. … Also in GNL play, Kyle Miller scored 17 and Ceri Palk hit 6 of 6 fourth-quarter free throws to lead the Cheney Blackhawks (9-9, 7-5) to a 54-47 win over the visiting West Valley Eagles (14-4, 9-3). WV’s Shaniqua Nilles had a game-high 18 points.
