City plans town hall meeting
The Rathdrum Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a town hall meeting Saturday with Idaho State Sen. Mike Jorgensen and State Reps. Jim Clark and Phil Hart.
The meeting at the Twin Lakes Elementary School commons will run from 9 to 11 a.m.
Attendees can submit questions ahead of the meeting to moderator Paul Matthews by calling 687-0300.
Post Falls
Foundation donates to senior center
After consultation with representatives Bob Nonini and Frank Henderson, and Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin, the Greene Idaho Foundation, selected the Post Falls Senior Center to be the recipient of a $10,000 donation. The donation was presented to senior center representatives at the Post Falls Senior Center Feb. 15.
The Greene Idaho Foundation is the charitable giving entity associated with Clubhouse Bingo which is in the Greyhound Park and Event Center in Post Falls.
Within the next three weeks, the foundation anticipates announcing several additional recipients of charitable donations. These additional recipients have already been identified by the foundation in consultation with Rep. Jim Clark and Sen. Jim Hammond. As with all of the officials, Clark and Hammond recommended $4,000 each in donations to those recipients. Similarly, the Foundation anticipates announcing another $2,000 to additional recipients identified with Larkin’s assistance.
The Greene Idaho Foundation is proud to give back to the community and is grateful to those officials for their assistance in identifying areas of need. Clubhouse Bingo conducts charitable bingo sessions at 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. inside the Greyhound Park and Event Center, 5100 Riverbend Ave., Post Falls. After expenses, all bingo proceeds are used for charitable purposes.

‘Dog Daze’ Saturday
The Kootenai Humane Society will be sponsoring “Dog Daze” Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will take place at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d’ Alene. Admission is $5, children under 5 years are admitted free.
Events will included Cecil’s Magic Show, contests for dogs and their companion, and games, raffles, demonstrations of dog agility, and yummy food. Christie Wood will be signing her book “Adventures of Woodville, Oscar Meets the Duchess,” and will donate a portion of her book sales to KHS for that day.
Kootenai Humane Society is a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. Since 1975, it has sheltered animals that are neglected, abused and abandoned in Kootenai County. KHS is the lead agency for animal welfare and provides care, shelter and adoptions for animals.
