Youth theater presents ‘Little Mermaid’
The Christian Youth Theater will present “The Little Mermaid,” Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Feb. 29 and March 1 at the Bing Crosby Theatre, 901 W. Sprague Ave.
The play follows Ariel, a mermaid who falls in love with a prince and the sacrifices she makes to become human.
The performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Feb. 29 and March 1; at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and March 1; and there are school-day performances at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Celtic Concert
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St., and Celtic Music Spokane will present Ruby Devine and Jon Lossing and the band Crooked Kilt Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Accompanying Crooked Kilt will be the Irish dance troupe An Daire.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and students.

Special service
St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall, will offer Celtic Eucharist today at 7 p.m.
The service will commemorate St. David of Wales.

•The Gonzaga religious studies department and the St. Joseph Family Center will present Sister Katherine Hanley in a workshop Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Washington/California room of the COG on the Gonzaga campus, 502 E. Boone.
The workshop will discuss decision-making by asking how God would have people look at the choices they make and the role of tradition.
There will also be prayer, conversation, a case study and time for questions.
The cost to attend the event is $35 and includes lunch and refreshments.

•The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will offer an Introduction to Buddhism Sunday at 9 a.m.
The class is one hour long and will discuss Buddhist tradition and service etiquette.

•Christ Community Church, 1317 E. 12th Ave., will host Financial Peace University, a 13-week program starting today at 7 p.m.
Topics discussed during this program include saving for emergencies, budgeting, relationship and money issues, getting out of debt, buying big bargains, understanding investments, understanding insurance, retirement and college planning, buyer beware, real estate mortgages and careers and extra jobs.
Participants of the program will need to purchase a kit, which includes a lifetime family membership to Financial Peace University, a workbook, envelope system, 13 audio lessons, bonus compact disc, budgeting forms, debit card holders and the book, “Financial Peace,” by Dave Ramsey, the founder of the program.

Fundraiser
The St. Nicholas Guild will present its annual fundraiser Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave.
Jeff Zobrist will speak at the event of his travels through Mexico, Canada, the Pacific Coast Trail and about a bicycle trip he took from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
The suggested donation to attend is $7.50.
