Movie poster
Q: I have an advertisement for the film “A Fistful of Dollars” starring Clint Eastwood. It was issued when the movie was playing in Belgium, and it has both French and Dutch titles. It is an interesting poster, but I have no idea of how much it is actually worth. Can you help me? — Renee, Lombard, Ill.
A: I tracked down three “Fistful of Dollars” posters, all in the $25 to $35 range. One of the better outlets is Motion Picture Arts, 90 Oak St., East Rutherford, NJ 07073; www.mpagallery.com; and 210-635-1444. The gallery offers free appraisals and immediate cash.

Q: Several years ago I purchased an antique wood-burning stove that was manufactured by the Vermont & Nath Company of Springfield, Vt. How can I find out more about both it and its value? — Mario, Renick, W.Va.
A: I suggest you contact Clifford Boram, Antique Stove Information Clearing House, 421 North Main St., Monticello, IN 47960. For a second opinion, Richard Richardson of the Good Time Stove Company is helpful. His contact information is P.O. Box 306, Goshen, MA 01032; rich@goodtimestoves.com; and www.antiquestoves.net.

Q: While attending college in Tennessee, I had an opportunity to travel many of the state’s back roads and small towns. I began purchasing advertising signs during the 1970s, when they were still fairly inexpensive. I would like to sell my collection, but am at a loss of how to go about it. — Carl, Venice, Fla.
A: Shirley Beck collects tin, cardboard, porcelain and paper advertising signs and is considered somewhat of an expert. Perhaps she can advise you. Her contact information is P.O. Box 435, Mediapolis, IA 52637; adman@mepotelco.net; and 319-394-3943.
