Disability benefits not income

Social Security disability benefits cannot be counted as qualifying income for the economic stimulus payments to be distributed this year by the federal government. Because of incorrect information provided to the newspaper, a Feb. 20 story implied otherwise.

Prosecutor requested delay

A request for a one-week delay in the vehicular homicide trial of Clifford Helm came from the Spokane County prosecutor’s office and not attorneys for Helm. Due to a reporter’s error, a story in Saturday’s paper said otherwise.

Symphony YES time, place

The location and time for the Spokane Symphony YES – Youth Exploration Series concert was incorrect in Monday’s Family calendar. The Sunday concert will take place at 3 p.m. at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, with a pre-concert event at 2 p.m. across the street at CenterStage.

Suit involves database

A recent lawsuit filed by Maplewood Software Inc. alleges Microsoft Corp. illegally copied a computer database. A headline in Saturday’s paper stated otherwise because of a copy editor’s error.
