Kenya’s tribal unrest

There are more than 40 tribes in Kenya, and political leaders often use unemployed and uneducated young men to intimidate opponents. While President Mwai Kibaki and opposition candidate Raila Odinga Odinga have wide-ranging support, the youth responsible for the violence tend to see politics in strictly ethnic terms.
