More wolf kills approved
BOZEMAN – The remaining three members of the Mussigbrod wolf pack will be killed after wolves killed a fourth calf on private property in the Big Hole valley northwest of Wisdom, state wildlife officials said.
The calf was killed on the same property where three calves were killed on Dec. 29.
USDA Wildlife Services confirmed the additional depredation on Wednesday.
Federal wildlife trappers shot three wolves from the Mussigbrod pack on Monday, leaving three remaining. After the most recent kill, the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks authorized federal trappers to kill the remaining three wolves.
