Catholic Charities seeks volunteers for AIDS care teams

Catholic Charities of Spokane is looking for volunteers to be part of faith-based AIDS care teams. The teams are in need of volunteers of any faith. The volunteers provide practical, emotional and spiritual support for a person or family living with HIV/AIDS. Volunteers do not provide medical care.

A volunteer orientation and training session is set for 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. next Saturday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N. Walnut Road. A $10 fee is requested to pay for materials and a meal. Advance registration is required. Call 358-4273 for more information or to register.

Epiphany

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will host an Epiphany celebration Sunday. Services will begin at 8 and 10 a.m. There will be baptisms and King’s cake for those who attend. The church is at 15319 E. Eighth Ave.

Bible study

Women are invited to attend a new Bible study fellowship evening women’s pilot class beginning Monday at Valley Bible Church, 3021 S. Sullivan Road. The class sessions will be held each Monday from 6:55 to 8:55 p.m. Call 926-7695 for more information.
