If lost in woods, build a fire

I recently read in the paper about a man and his two children who became lost in the Northern California woods for about three days. Obviously they experienced some very cold weather.

Well, as a man who has written a booklet about how to survive in the woods, allow me to advise anyone who is going to spend any time in the woods, about a very simple way to stay warm: just simply build a fire.

I don’t have the space here, on how to advise you to do this, but just go to an outdoor store, and ask them how to do this. I think the best way though, is to just purchase a little magnesium stick, and carry it with you all the time. This stick will start hundreds of small fires in the woods, should you get lost.
