Dwyane Wade scored 37 points, and that still wasn’t enough for the hapless Miami Heat.

Brandon Roy led a fourth-quarter comeback Friday night and the Portland Trail Blazers won 98-91 in Miami, to extend the Heat’s losing streak to 12 games, which matches the third longest in franchise history.

Roy finished with 24 points to help the Trail Blazers win for the ninth time after trailing at the start of the fourth quarter.

Wade tied his own franchise record by scoring 17 consecutive Heat points, and he set a team record for points in a third quarter with 20 to help Miami take a 76-69 lead to start the fourth quarter. But Wade scored only two points in the final period.

The Blazers regained sole possession of first place in the Northwest Division, a half-game ahead of Denver, and improved to 7-12 on the road. They’re 17-3 at home.

Celtics 116, 76ers 89: At Boston, Paul Pierce scored 14 of his 22 points in the third quarter to help the Celtics take the lead and Ray Allen scored 10 of his 23 in the fourth when Boston pulled away to beat Philadelphia.

Kevin Garnett had 11 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Celtics.

Hornets 112, Bobcats 84: At New Orleans, David West scored 28 points in 32 minutes and the Hornets won their fourth straight game, beating Charlotte.

Peja Stojakovic hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for New Orleans.

Wizards 111, Knicks 98: At Washington, Antawn Jamison scored 32 points and Caron Butler added 22 while stretching his made free-throw streak to an NBA season-high 54, leading the Wizards past New York.

•Washington center Etan Thomas hopes to return from open heart surgery this season. He said in a radio interview that he should be able to practice soon. Thomas underwent a 4 1/2 -hour operation in October to replace a leaking aortic valve.

Kings 100, Pistons 93: At Detroit, Ron Artest came off the bench to score 18 points, including a key basket late in the game, and lift Sacramento to a victory over the Pistons.

Chauncey Billups had 28 points and Richard Hamilton added 24 for the Pistons.

Raptors 89, Hawks 78: At Toronto, Chris Bosh had 35 points and nine rebounds, Anthony Parker scored 18 points and the Raptors beat Atlanta.

Bosh, who had 13 points in the fourth quarter, has scored at least 30 in four of Toronto’s past five games.

Warriors 119, Bulls 111: At Chicago, Baron Davis matched a career high with 40 points, hitting six 3-pointers as Golden State used a strong finish to beat the Bulls.

Suns 115, Timberwolves 95: At Phoenix, Steve Nash had a near-flawless game and five Suns’ players scored 17 points or more in Phoenix’s rout of Minnesota.

Nash was 6 for 6 from the field and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line for 17 points with 13 assists.

Jazz 106, Clippers 88: At Salt Lake City, Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 10 rebounds to help Utah beat Los Angeles.

Deron Williams scored 15 and Andrei Kirilenko added 13 points and seven assists for the Jazz.
