The Cheney Police Department announced its activity for the week of June 20 through 24.
June 20
“Police responded to a report of harassment at the 2300 block of University Lane. Commander Rick Campbell said the case was a “brewing neighborhood dispute.”
“Andrew J. Slette, 28, and Nikee B. Larsen, 20, were arrested for suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance at the 2300 block of University Lane. Police confiscated a single marijuana plant.
June 21
“Harry J. Petersen, 51, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at the 400 block of First Street.
“Jamie R. Anderson, 22, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at the 2700 block of First Street.
“There was a report of malicious mischief at the 300 block of F Street. Someone had damaged a real estate sign.
“Police responded to a report of malicious mischief at the 700 block of west First Street. Someone had thrown some trash into a yard, a car’s doors were opened and a car window was smashed.
“There was a report of theft at the 1800 block of First Street. Some flower pots were reported stolen.
June 22
“Police executed a search warrant at the 1500 block of Fourth Street. Campbell said they seized six marijuana plants. There have been no arrests as of yet in this case.
“Leonard A. Ragan, 23, was arrested for suspicion of driving with a suspended license at the 2200 block of First Street.
June 23
“There was a residential burglary reported at the 200 block of Simpson Parkway. A wallet, identification, some cash and a laptop computer were reported stolen.
“A theft was reported at the 100 block of First Street. Someone had reportedly pumped some gas and driven away from the gas station without paying.
“There was an injury accident reported at the 300 block of Fifth Street. The accident involved one driver on a motorcycle who was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle.
“Some beer was reported stolen at Safeway on the 2700 block of First Street. The beer was recovered when the suspects dropped it during a pursuit and the suspects have been identified by police, according to Campbell. The case is still pending.
June 24
“Police responded to a report of malicious mischief at the 1400 block of Third Street. Some kids were reportedly throwing rocks at a window of a home.
“There was another unrelated report of malicious mischief at the 2300 block of University Lane. Some kids were throwing rocks and hit a motorcycle. The rocks damaged the paint on the motorcycle.
