RDF Media will bring a camera crew to the On Sacred Grounds’ annual Artists Loose on the Palouse Art and Craft Fair on July 19, filming portions of the reality show “Wife Swap.”

On Sacred Grounds is a coffee, tea and specialty shop located at 12212 E. Palouse Highway in Valleyford.

Dairy Queen honors Girl Scouts

Dairy Queen is saluting the 3.6 million Girl Scouts in the United States for their community service and display of leadership during Girl Scout Appreciation Week, which is being hosted by Dairy Queen locations nationwide.

Today, representatives of Girl Scouts Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho will be at the Dairy Queens at 310 W. Francis Ave. and 15624 E. Sprague Ave. from noon to 4 p.m. and will answer questions, hand out information and register girls ages 5 to 17.

Pathways to Progress holds fair

In conjunction with the Cheney Rodeo, Pathways to Progress will present an Arts, Crafts and Food Festival Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The festival will be held on First Street between College and F streets.

They day will include kids crafts, food, a raffle and children’s games including a bean bag toss, can smash, penny toss, ring toss and “Let’s Go Fishing.”

The raffle tickets are $1 and prizes include sporting events at Eastern Washington University and a Seattle Sonics jersey, soon to be something of a collectible item once the team moves to Oklahoma.

Meeting covers home ownership

Community Frameworks HomeStarts program will hold an informational meeting Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the North Spokane County Library, 44 E. Hawthorne Road.

The meeting will discuss affordable home ownership, earning a down payment and closing costs by working on your own house and low-cost financing.
