Abstinence-only failing

In response to “Fox shouldn’t host benefit” June 4:

The argument made that the Fox should not host an event benefiting Planned Parenthood is a weak and tired one.

Oh, those poor unborn babies. How pitiful are those supposed religious who protest abortion, yet don’t have the guts to face the truth that Planned Parenthood confronts that the failed $1.5 billion U.S. government-supported abstinence-only program chooses to ignore.

Teenage pregnancies are on the rise for the first time in 16 years. One in four teenage girls suffers from an STD. If Planned Parenthood did not provide safe abortions, women would be in back alleys having unsafe ones.

The pregnant teen is the innocent soul who should be prayed for and helped. Planned Parenthood steps up to the humanitarian challenge. I believe this goes hand in hand with the Fox’s vision to “foster an environment that awakens, entertains, educates and challenges. …”

Please challenge yourself to help an unwed mom to truly help souls in need.
