Thank goodness there are different views of “people of conscience,” as stated by Mr. Unger on June 4. If anything is “morally repugnant,” as stated by him, it is the self-righteous people standing on the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood intimidating and frightening young women seeking help to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Are you willing to fully support all the children of women who cannot afford to raise them? Are you willing to pay for the prenatal care of those who want their baby but cannot afford a doctor? If not, perhaps you should consider helping young women instead of berating an organization that provides services for our fellow humans.

Two hundred words can’t describe what population growth is doing to our planet, our food supplies and our ability to earn a living.

We should be proud of those organizations that are actually helping unwanted children from suffering and poverty by supporting and encouraging them to continue helping women and families in Spokane.
