Cheney ASB officers elected

Cheney High School has elected its Associated Student Body officers for the 2008-‘09 school year.

The officers are: Reese Martin, president; Desiree Winters, vice-president; Amy Schroeder, executive officer; Dennis France, executive justice; Alex Gustafson, activities coordinator; Meghan Kelly, secretary; and Kaitlyn Helsing, treasurer.

Cheney School Board meetings

The Cheney School District Board of Directors announced it will have a special work session prior to its June 25 meeting.

The session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Fisher Building Board Room, 520 Fourth St., Cheney. The regular board meeting will follow the work session at 6.

The board also announced it will change its meeting time July 9 to 5:30 p.m. and will hold another work session after the meeting. That work session will discuss the district’s strategic initiatives with the new superintendent, Larry Keller.

The board meetings this summer will also be held in the Fisher Building.
