Route of the Hiawatha – Open daily through Oct. 5 from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., located adjacent to I-90 at the Idaho/Montana state line, exit 0, 12 miles east of Wallace. The “crown jewel” of rails-to-trails mountain bike trailways operated by Lookout Pass Ski Area. Wind through 10 tunnels and seven high trestles on a 15-mile route across the Bitterroot Mountains between Idaho and Montana. It’s all downhill with shuttle buses available to take you and your bike back to the top. Day pass: $9/adults, $5/ages 3-13. Shuttle: $9/adults, $6/children. 744-1301.

PK Lions Club Breakfast Fundraiser – Saturday, 6-11 a.m. at the Pinehurst/Kingston Lions Community Building in Pinehurst. Proceeds benefit the Kellogg High School Cross Country Team. $4.50/adults, $4/seniors, $3.50/kids age 12 and younger, $14/family of four. 682-4961.

Chatcolab at Camp Twinlow – Call or e-mail to register for the camp held Saturday-next Friday at Camp Twinlow, 22787 N. Twin Low Road, Rathdrum. This year’s Northwest Leaderships Lab theme is, “Diamonds in the Rough.” Keynote speaker is Frank Burris, extension agent for Watershed Management at Oregon State University. Other workshops includes music from the oral tradition, kayaking and canoe, outdoor education, group management, science and technology, Tai Chi and applique techniques.
