Churches offering vacation Bible school

More vacation Bible school sessions are coming up at Valley churches, providing a fun way for kids to learn about their faith.

•Valley Assembly of God Church will host a session this Monday through Friday at the church for children in grades K-6. “Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power” is the theme of the event, which will be held daily from 9 a.m. to noon.

•Zion Lutheran Church, 8304 E. Buckeye, will host a “Power Lab” VBS July 7 through 11 for kids age 4 through the sixth grade. There will be games, snacks and a live band. Classes will be from 9 to 11:45 a.m. daily. T-shirts will be available for a suggested donation of $15. Call the church office at 926-5407 to register.

Schedule change

Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway Ave., will move to one morning service at 10 a.m. each Sunday in July and August. There will be no Sunday School classes during the summer. The evening service will be at 6 p.m. each Sunday.
