Park speed limit slower for summer

The Spokesman-Review

The speed limit on Mission Avenue at Valley Mission Park has been reduced from 35 mph to 20 mph for the summer.

The slowdown occurs every year from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Traffic engineer Inga Note said the reduction is needed not only because more children use the park in summer, but because the park’s overflow parking is on the other side of Mission.

The park includes a pool, a horse arena and the Splash Down Family Water Park.
