In brief: Giant, inflatable colon is interactive

The Providence Cancer Center at Sacred Heart Medical Center and Holy Family Hospital will present the Super Colon, an 8-foot-tall, 20-foot-long replica of a human colon from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Providence Auditorium at Sacred Heart on Ninth and Rockwood.

The inflatable, interactive colon will teach visitors about colorectal cancer. Information: 474-5490.

Agent honored

Allstate agent Anthony Fulgaro has been awarded an “Agency Hands in the Community” award of $500 from the Allstate Foundation. The funds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Spokane, where Fulgaro volunteers. The foundation gives the grants for volunteer work. Other Allstate agents who recently received grants include Elizabeth Caldwell, Ted Curet, Roy Edwards, Terry Kosiancic, Robin Oos and Ryan Yohe.
