Bookcases needed for donated books

On March 8 an article (Valley Voice) was run about a new community center opening up at the Pratt Elementary location in the Edgecliff community.

In the article a volunteer stated they would like to open a library as a resource for the children. The call of need for a library was answered this week when I visited the community center. I saw two rows of boxes, chest high that ran the whole length of the stage, full of donated books.

One of the volunteers said that she would love to set up the books, but needed at least 10 strong bookcases to hold all the books and resource material that had been donated.

Please contact the Edgecliff SCOPE office at 477-6345 if you would like to donate any of the needed heavy-duty bookcases. They will be used to hold the hundreds of books and resource materials that have been donated to the children.
