Pirates 3, Braves 2: At Pittsburgh, Freddy Sanchez singled home Brian Bixler with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, leading the Pirates to a victory over Atlanta.

Marlins 7, Nationals 3: At Washington, Ricky Nolasco pitched six strong innings and Luis Gonzalez added a bases-loaded double to lead Florida to a victory over the Nationals.

Cubs 3, Diamondbacks 1: At Chicago, Ted Lilly pitched seven innings and also singled in the tying run as the Cubs won for just the fifth time in 14 games, a victory over Arizona.

Brewers 4, Cardinals 3: At Milwaukee, Rickie Weeks hit a bases-loaded, two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give the Brewers a victory over St. Louis.

Rockies 4, Padres 2: At San Diego, Garrett Atkins and Brad Hawpe hit bases-loaded singles off Jake Peavy in the sixth inning and Colorado sent the Padres to their 18th loss in 22 games.

Phillies 7, Giants 4: At San Francisco, Jimmy Rollins came off the disabled list and hit a two-run homer, an RBI double and also singled, sending Philadelphia past the Giants.

Astros 7, Dodgers 1: At Los Angeles, Brian Moehler pitched five scoreless innings and Lance Berkman went 3 for 4 with a home run in a win over the Dodgers.

Reds vs. Mets ppd.: At New York, the game between Cincinnati and the Mets was postponed by rain and will be made up today as part of a day-night doubleheader.
