Braves 8, Phillies 6: At Philadelphia, Tom Glavine pitched 52/3 effective innings to earn his first win for Atlanta in six years and the Braves held on for a victory over the Phillies. Chipper Jones, Yunel Escobar and Kelly Johnson each hit solo homers to support Glavine.
Nationals 5, Mets 3: At New York, Jesus Flores hit a tiebreaking single with two outs in the seventh inning to lead Washington over the Mets.
Reds 7, Marlins 6 (10): At Cincinnati, the Reds blew a six-run lead in the ninth, but Paul Janish singled in the tiebreaking run in the 10th in only his second big-league at-bat as Cincinnati beat Florida.
Cardinals 5, Pirates 1: At St. Louis, Todd Wellemeyer allowed two hits into the eighth inning and Albert Pujols had two hits, reaching base for the 41st straight game to start the season, helping the Cardinals beat Pittsburgh.
Cubs 8, Padres 5: At Chicago, Ted Lilly struck out 11 to win his third straight start, and Alfonso Soriano and Geovany Soto homered to lead the Cubs over San Diego.
Dodgers 6, Brewers 4: At Milwaukee, Juan Pierre hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the ninth inning, and Los Angeles beat the Brewers to snap a six-game skid.
Astros 6, Giants 3: At San Francisco, Miguel Tejada had three hits, including the go-ahead single in the seventh, and Lance Berkman and Brad Ausmus homered to help Houston beat the Giants.
Diamondbacks 4, Rockies 3: At Phoenix, Micah Owings threw six shutout innings and Brandon Lyon earned his 10th straight save as Arizona defeated Colorado for the seventh time in eight games this season.
