Whitworth turns to Ramsay
Dan Ramsay was named the head baseball coach at Whitworth University on Tuesday.
Ramsay, who completed his playing eligibility this spring, becomes the eighth Pirates player to become head coach of the school’s baseball team.
Ramsay will replace Keith Ward, who resigned in April after 11 years at the helm.
Ramsay was an honorable mention All-Northwest Conference catcher for the Pirates this past season.
“I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity that Whitworth University is providing me,” Ramsay said.
